He accuses the President of the Republic and the government of unilateral and irresponsible steps that threaten to make the island a target for Ersin Tatar
“Unilateral and irresponsible” steps by the “executive administration of southern Cyprus” threaten to make the island a target, claims Ersin Tatar in a written statement, adding that he is watching these with concern the steps. He claims that President Christodoulidis, prioritizing his personal political reputation and “under the illusion that he is a regional actor, is trying to participate in the crimeagainst humanity that Israel has been committing every day right next to us for about a year with the attempted genocide. Once again I regretfully condemn the unacceptable policies of the Greek Cypriot leadership”.
As broadcast in the occupied territories, Ersin Tatar also states that he repeatedly warned the PtD to refrain from taking measures that would endanger the security of the entire island for political purposes, while the same warning was given by Turkey, which, as it states, is making efforts for a permanent ceasefire, in the parties involved in the confrontation, with the warring side “escalating the tension”, as it claims.
“It is important that the island of Cyprus, which is closest to the center of the violence, at least maintains its neutrality so that the people living there do not have to worry about attacks. But unfortunately, the I/O leadership, which is increasing its armament activities day by day, has chosen to do the opposite and has chosen to be a party to Israel's actions, including the military exercise it carried out last week,” he asserted. At this stage, Mr. Tatar claimed, “southern Cyprus has become a military base for countries that have shown at every opportunity that they are parties to the crisis and complicit in crimes against humanity, and have begun to use civilian ports for military purposes ».
Mr. Tatar believes that the anchoring of the American aircraft carrier in Limassol, which is the most recent of these serious developments, caused serious reactions not only among them but also among the Greeks, citing a relevant poll.
Claims that the local leadership “does not have the authority” to take action or decisions on issues that have the potential to affect the entire island. Its jurisdiction, it claims, covers only southern Cyprus, “with the borders established 50 years ago”. while innocent and defenseless people, including children, women, are murdered every day. “As the president of a people who have suffered massacres and attempted genocide in the past, I want to appeal: humanity must unite against this oppression,” he says.
He calls for a permanent ceasefire to ” to end the blood and tears”.
