Those Turkish Cypriots who left their property in the free zones should get property in the occupied territories, said Turkish leader Ersin Tatar, receiving a delegation led by former EVKAF director Taner Dervis.
Tatar also said that they are promoting the two-state solution model with the full support of the Turkish Republic, and that it is not possible to reach an agreement within the federation, noting that “the Greek Cypriot side does not even accept political equality.”
The Turkish leader noted that the “tdbk” will remain alive with the two-state solution model, based on sovereign equality.
He also claimed that no Turkish Cypriot wants to return to the pre-1974 situation.
He said the Turkish Cypriots should take property in the occupied territories in exchange for the property they left in the free zones “within the framework of their rights and the law”.
