Higher education, tourism and the construction sector will grow rapidly in the pseudo-state after the pandemic, said Turkish leader Ersin Tatar, who met today with a delegation from the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr. Tatar said that the future of the pseudo-state is quite bright and argued that Greece and the Greek Cypriots do not want an agreement with the Turkish Cypriots on the basis of equality.
He stated that at the point where we have reached Cyprus, a solution is needed that provides for cooperation “between two sovereign equal states that live side by side”. He added that in this context they act in full alignment with Turkey.
“We lost a lot of time, we can't wait any longer,” he said. He said the pseudo-state “will continue to grow as a sovereign state with all its institutions, all its economic sectors and its human resources”.
He noted that the future is much brighter for the Turkish Cypriots, as relations with various Turkish non-governmental organizations are growing and the bond with them is becoming stronger day by day.
Mr. Tatar also said that Mersina is a gateway of the Turkish Cypriots to the world.
