According to the same newspaper, in his statements in the context of the memorial service for the “week of martyrs”, Tatar described as “inhumane the actions of the Greek-Greek Cypriot duo aimed at the unification of Cyprus with Greece”, claiming that the Turkish Cypriots experienced a “genocide”, as he characterized it.
