Taylor Swift's “Folklore” closed in 2020 as the top album of the year in the US and as the only one that sold at least one million copies, according to MRC Data. In addition, the superstar has won the title of top album of the year in sales five times.

The other albums with which Taylor Swift conquered the top were “Lover” of 2019 with 1.09 million sales, “Reputation” of 2017 with 1.9 million in “1989” of 2014 with 3.66 million and 2009's “Fearless” with 3.22 million sales.
In both 2020 and 2019, Taylor albums alone managed to sell over one million copies.
Swift has two of the top 10 albums in sales in 2020, as its most recent album, “Evermore” (released on December 11), was No. 10 in sales with 283,000 copies sold as of December 31.
