On Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 9:00 p.m., RIK1's program will overflow with love, as the Telethon TELETHON returns to public television, where it started in 1994!
In a live, marathon charity show, the hearts of the viewers will beat for the charitable institution TELETHON, with the aim of financially supporting people with myopathies, but also promoting the research programs of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.
In this effort, the Radio Foundation of Cyprus (ΡΙΚ) and ALPHA Cyprus will join forces, and together they will carry the messages of the charitable institution TELETHON from the morning, broadcasting information and special tributes throughout the day. On the evening of Thursday, June 8, the favorite presenters Christiana Aristotelous and Stavros Kyprianou, will welcome the viewers, through the frequency of RIK, in a special evening full of entertainment and strong emotions, having by their side many guests who will convey human stories that deserve our admiration, but also messages of support and hope to our fellow human beings who need it so much in the difficult times they are going through. The artistic program will be framed by the beloved singers Loukas Giorkas and Stella Georgiadou.
Throughout this year's Telemarathon, a call center will be operated by CYTA, staffed by volunteers including popular artists and well-known personalities, who will record the viewers' contributions.
The show will be broadcast simultaneously on the RIK satellite channel, but also online.
