The temporary lifting of the strike measures that apply from last Friday at noon, was decided by the joint extraordinary general assembly of the strikers in the company Nicosia Public Transport that took place today at the headquarters of PEO, in Nicosia.
In his statements to KYPE, the Secretary General of SEGDAMELIN-PEO, Athos Eleftheriou said that the measures are being lifted and the employees have already left to start work and start their itineraries.
Mr. Eleftheriou said that they have informed the Minister of Labor, Zeta Aimilianidou about the & nbsp; decision of the General Assembly, and the first meeting was scheduled for the afternoon of Monday, March 28.

According to a joint announcement of SEGDAMELIN-PEO and OMEPEGE-SEK, the assembly of strikers in the company Nicosia Public Transport that took place today, decided the temporary lifting of the strike measures that started last Friday at noon.
The workers will return to work today after noon.
As mentioned in the announcement, the representatives of their Guilds, SEGDAMELIN-PEO and OMEPEGE-SEC informed about the latest developments and exchanged views on the next manipulations.
This decision opens the dialogue between the Minister of Labor, Welfare and Social Security and the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, to resolve the problems faced by employees.
The meeting was set for next Monday 28 March, 3pm.
According to the announcement, the dismissed workers are also returning to work, after the dismissal letters have been withdrawn.
The Guilds express their readiness to negotiate in good faith the solution of all problems, in order to avoid similar unwanted differences in the future.

According to the announcement, the main problems concern man-hours, implementation of existing legislation mainly in matters of safety and health, appropriate infrastructure and more.
Finally, the Trade Unions and the workers apologize for the suffering of passengers on the days of the strike, for which “they are not responsible”, as they note.
