After consultations with the management companies in the Port of Limassol, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Giannis Karousos welcomes the intention of the company P&O Maritime Cyprus to apply, from February 1, 2022, to the ships entering and leaving the Port for an increase of cargo of 6.62%, instead of 16.6%.
At the same time and according to an announcement by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works for the charges in the Limassol Port, the Minister was informed about the decision of the company Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol Ltd to delay until February 28 the increase of its charges, to give time to Government to work out ways to mitigate the issue.

At the same time, the ministry is in contact with both the Ministry of Finance and the Attorney General's Office to prepare a comprehensive and workable proposal to resolve the issue.
