Tension was caused on Monday afternoon at Nicosia General Hospital due to delays in the First Aid Department of the Hospital.
Citizens complained to SigmaLive that they have been in the hospital since morning without yet having be served.
According to the complaint, dozens of people are waiting, as a result of which tension prevails and the intervention of the Police is needed to restore order.
Members of the Police who were at the scene they arrested a woman who is a relative of a patient.
According to the Police the woman was arrested after she was shouting and causing concern.
Speaking to SigmaLive, OKYPY Press Representative Charalambos Harilaou said that emergencies are attended to immediately and that most of those on the waiting list are patients who are triaged to see their GPs.
"We understand that there is an increased flow of patients, we advise patients to be patient» he said.
