The Member of Parliament, Irini Charalambidou, had requested in the previous days that the capital situation of former Ministers and others involved in the decisions be audited for the project at the Terminal, then also the srevelations that the European Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating the agreement even for corruption issues.
As Brief is informed, the Authorities are expected to proceed – based on what the legislation stipulates and the relevant regulations – with controls, in order to establish whether there was an unjustified change in the assets of those who were in positions that could influence the decisions and the progress of the project.
Intention, as transferred to Brief, it's not to leave any shadow regarding those who were in positions – keys for Terminal's work and at the same time to identify – in case there are – evidence of possible unjust enrichment. Besides, this was also conveyed by the government through the latest statements of the Senior Government Spokesman, Giannis Antoniou, who said that those responsible for the scandal will be held accountable, as he specifically described it.

According to the procedures, if the Tax Department ultimately proceeds with an audit, then those involved are obligated – if requested – to provide any information requested< /strong>by the Tax Department.
In such a case they will have 3 months to submit the relevant documentsrequired by the Tax Department and then it will start the audit.
During the audit, as conveyed to Brief by a competent source, the change in their assets will be established and whether it is justified by their incomes and other financial activities.
