From tomorrow, Thursday, the Supreme Court judges will have the objection of the family of Thanasis Nikolaos, to the application of the medical examiner Panikos Stavrianou for annulment of the conclusion of the coroner, who ruled that the death of the 26-year-old national guard, in 2005, came from criminal action.
This is what the mother of Thanasis, Andriana Nikolaou, says in her post today, in the MKD, expressing the hope that “at last (the judges) will see the truth with a clear mind and collegiality and will understand that behind all this something else is hidden and they will allow justice to be delivered, as befits a state of law”.
Posting a photo of Thanasis with his siblings, Andriana Nikolaou speaks of the “indiscriminate murder” of her son, after what happened in the unit he served in and of a titanic and costly struggle, which “became the occasion to expose the corrupt system and its functionaries”.

From tomorrow, he adds, the family's objection “to the inadmissible request of the person involved to annul the finding”, will be in the hands of the judges of the Supreme Court.
Speaking also to KYPE, Adriana Nikolaou said that this month is difficult for the family, as apart from the new test of the procedure at the Supreme Court, which was set for instructions on September 10, on the 29th of the month completing 19 years from the day Thanasis was murdered and the his lifeless body was found under the Alaska bridge.
