Awarded at an event at the Presidential for the “Cook and Offer” program
Thanos Hotels and Resorts Group received an honorary award for its long-term support to the “Sophia for Children” charity foundation, through the “Cook and Offer” program, in a special event held yesterday at the Presidential Palace, in the presence of its President of the Republic, the Minister of Education, teachers, media representatives, volunteers and friends of “Wisdom for Children”.
The “Cook and Offer” children's feeding program in the all-day schools of Cyprus completes ten years of operation this year, providing support to the children of Cyprus and to communities where there is a need. In particular, it covers the feeding needs of 16 full-day primary schools and kindergartens throughout Cyprus.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Group has taken over entirely for the fifth consecutive school year the feeding of the children of Eniaos All-day Primary School of Giolos – Miliou, supporting the valuable work carried out by the “Sofia for Children” foundation for years.
Receiving the honorary award, Mrs. Natasa Michailidou, Director of Corporate Relations and Communication of the Thanos Hotels and Resorts Group said: “In a world that is constantly changing, we could not be absent from the challenges faced by our fellow human beings, especially children. Our collaboration with the “Sophia for Children” foundation continues and means a lot to us, since the Group's staff has embraced this initiative. The foundation is doing valuable work with commendable actions that inspire us. Feeding, one of the basic needs of children, must be adequately covered. We hope that for the next school year it will be possible to help the children and families who are still facing difficulties”.
