With Paphos it will be the first official match in the history of Omonia on May 29 with a first division team.
Last year's champions of the 3rd Division, who are competing in the 2nd Division this year, were drawn to face Paphos in the first phase of the cup.
However, the vice-president of KOP, Haris Loizidis, was caught unread, as when the Omonia paper came out on May 29, he asked… “in this original?” while when they informed him which team it was, he said “oh, did they change their name?”
