The Advisory Scientific Committee will meet on Wednesday, as stated by the Minister of Health, Michalis Hatzipantela, when asked after a press conference conference on the Transplanted Athletes awards, if the small increase in cases is due to the new subvariants of the coronavirus.
“We are not complacent. We say it all the time. Our aim is to analyze all the data together with the scientists and see how we progress in the coming months. But one message is clear. We must all be vaccinated,” the Minister of Health emphasized. “We have the latest updated vaccines that address the latest mutations. So by vaccinating everyone, we protect ourselves from this virus”, he concluded.
