A statement was issued by the Police on Friday morning, regarding the incident that happened early on Thursday night in Pyrga, where a 69-year-old father allegedly shot his 45-year-old son, after a family confrontation.

As part of the investigation of a murder attempt case, members of the Police, proceeded last night on the basis of a court order to arrest a 69-year-old man.
According to the data under consideration, o The 69-year-old went to the Larnaca Police Station yesterday afternoon, stating that he shot a 45-year-old, after an argument he had with him.
The 69-year-old had shot the 45-year-old twice with a shotgun, seriously injuring his hand. The 69-year-old was finally disarmed by another person who was at the scene.
The 45-year-old was transported to the Nicosia General Hospital, where he was kept for treatment, with his health condition being described as serious, but out of danger.
The 69-year-old was also taken to Larnaca General Hospital for treatment, and during his disarmament, he received a head injury.
A court warrant was issued against the 69-year-old and he was arrested shortly after midnight and was detained.
