Specifically, CERA decided to grant the requested license for construction, ownership, operation and management of a natural gas transmission system, to the company Public Natural Gas Company Limited. The validity of the license is set at thirty years.
The decision of CERA to enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
The Transmission System is the Natural Gas System which includes the natural gas installations which are developed on the basis of the approved Development Program of this license, consisting of pipelines and high pressure branches, the measuring, adjusting, compression and decompression installations, the control system. operation, communications and remote control, operation and maintenance centers, load distribution control centers and in general the facilities that are elements of the operation and support of the Transmission System.
The Transmission System also includes the expansion and reinforcement projects that are implemented in accordance with the approved Development Program. The Transmission System includes the installations from the Injection or Entry Points to the Exit Points. Infusion or Entry Point is the entrance of each metering device through which natural gas is delivered to the transmission system from the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) installation in the area of Vasilikos in Larnaca province, from an upstream pipeline network or interconnector or other LNG installation storage. Exit point is the output of each metering device through which natural gas is injected from the Transmission System to the distribution system or to the gas consumer installation.
