The car of the King of Carnival - Macharagias goes on the streets for the 2nd time George Nikolaou

The carnival is optimism and joy, says to KYPE the King “Limassol” the Maharajas of the city, who today wears, for the second consecutive year, his uniform and gets on his chariot, to bring smiles in these difficult hours of restrictive measures for the pandemic.

The choreographer and actor George Nikolaou is the first Carnival King whose term is extended, due to the cancellation of the established mass events in the Municipality of Limassol, which this year brings the carnival mood through a series of alternative, online to their online.

“Emotions are strange, because I always participate on the condition that I will have with me the students of the dance school, who for 25 years were my strength to participate in the Limassol Carnival”, he tells us and notes how difficult it is for everyone who does not they will be able to masquerade and have fun together this year.

Nevertheless, George Nikolaou will wear his brightest smile today and will be on his throne, as he did last year, to give a little note of optimism through the circulation of his chariot on the main streets of Limassol.

“Carnival is optimism and joy, we must not be miserable. We went through even more difficult times, such as the 74 'I lived as a refugee “, he states and adds that” the only thing that can not be done is health, so we should smile, have our health and in a few years we will look back and we will say that we went through that too “.
