The reaction of DEOK was strong yesterday, stating, among other things, that the proposals for suspension of the implementation of the national minimum wage and the ATA are unacceptable and outside the framework of the social dialogue that is being conducted on both of these important issues. DEOK notes in turn that the last ten years have seen an unprecedented deconstruction and deregulation of labor acquis and in this context DEOK notes that the trade union movement will not allow employers to use the inflation crisis as a vehicle for suspension or cancellation of the national minimum wage and the ATA. “On the contrary, as the European Commission suggests, now is the time for a decent minimum wage to be implemented,” DEOK said, noting that now that inflation is bleeding incomes, “it is time to put the issue on the table.” of the full restoration of the ATA “.
