The District Court of Larnaca today issued an eight-day detention order for the 29-year-old,who was arrested to facilitate the investigations regarding an investigated case of injury and causing grievous bodily harm.
The police started investigating the case, last night when, following information, a 25-year-old man was found injured outside a building in Larnaca . The 25-year-old, who suffered injuries from a sharp object, was taken to Larnaca General Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was kept for hospitalization.
From Police examinations, it appears that the incident of the 25-year-old's injury took place in the staircase of the apartment house where he lives in Larnaca. Evidence was also secured against the 29-year-old, who was arrested early today, pursuant to a court warrant, to facilitate investigations.
Later the 29-year-old was brought before the District Court strong> Larnaca, which issued an eight-day detention order against him.
