The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth expresses its deepest sadness for the untimely death of Dr. Philippos Tsiboglou, who passed away today, Thursday, February 2.
As he states, “he was a pioneer in the field of Libraries, initially as the Director of the University of Cyprus Library and later as the General Director of the National Library of Greece. He was particularly loved by all members of the university community”.

During the period 1999 to 2014 he was Director of the Library of the University of Cyprus and from 2014 until his death the General Director of the National Library of Greece, it is added.
The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Minister Mr. Prodromos Prodromou express their sincere condolences to the relatives of the deceased.
