The blessed Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II was a great leader of Orthodoxy and Cypriot Hellenism, wrote the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou in the book of condolences for the death of Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II .

“I express my sincere condolences, personally on behalf of the Greek people, for the excommunication of the Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. Chrysostomos B”, wrote Mrs. Sakellaropoulou and continued, “Makaristos was a great leader of Orthodoxy and Cypriot Hellenism”.

Finally, the President of Greece wrote that the late Archbishop, “leaves an indelible personal stamp on the history of the Church of Cyprus”.

After the President of Greece, the book of Condolences was signed by Niki Kerameos, Minister of Education and Religious Affairs of the Hellenic Republic.

The Archbishop of Cyprus, Mrs. Kerameos wrote, “worked selflessly for the Church of Cyprus, the homeland, Hellenism. May he rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences”.
