The meeting of the Council of Ministers was recently concluded, where the measures for the relaxation of the restrictions were examined and final decisions were taken.
The decisions of the Council of Ministers in relation to the strategy of de-escalation of restrictive measures are currently announced by the Minister of Health, Konstantinos Ioannou, in a press conference.
Specifically, the Minister of Health is expected to announce the return of the students of A 'and B' Lyceum, the reopening of the gyms for personal training (personal training), the tuition centers and the conservatories, with a certain number of people.
In three phases
According to information from politis.com.cy, the de-escalation of the restrictive measures will take place in three phases:
- Phase 1: From March 1, the physical presence of the students of A 'and B' Lyceum will be allowed. Also open are tutoring centers, conservatories, visual arts, galleries and evening activities (eg reopening of gyms for personal training). The team trainings of the DG category team sports begin with the conditions that apply to the A 'category. The paths of nature also open.
- Phase 2: From March 8, the physical presence of all high school students will be allowed.
- Phase 3: From March 16, the restaurant area gradually opens and the physical presence of employees in companies increases.
Meanwhile, text messages, a curfew at nine in the evening, and other traffic restrictions are not expected to be lifted before mid-March.
With regard to home gatherings, it is preferable to allow gatherings of up to ten people after March 15, however, this will depend on the epidemiological picture of those days.
