The General Index fell 0.04% to close at 130.93 points
The Stock Market ended September with negligible losses, with the General Index showing a drop of 0.04%, closing at 130.93 points.
The FTSE/CysE Index fell to close at 79.42 points, showing marginal losses of 0.03%. The value of transactions amounted to €695,616, of which 91% in transactions in Bank of Cyprus securities.
On a weekly basis, the CSE shows small losses of 0.95%, while the CSE shows significant monthly losses reaching 2.8%.
Today's drop in the CSE is due to the losses of the Main Market, which reached 0.28%, while on the contrary, the Hotels and the Alternative Market recorded gains of 0.92% and 0.77% respectively. The Investment Companies sector did not register a daily change.
The Bank of Cyprus securities attracted the most investment interest with €633,325 (down 1.65% – closing price €2.98). The shares of Hellenic Bank followed with €39,654 (up 0.44% – closing price €2.26), Logicom Public with €6,670 (no change – closing price €2.90), Blue Island PLC with €4,421 ( down 5.79% – closing price €0.89) and The Cyprus Cement Public Company with €3,215 (up 0.78% – closing price €0.64),
Of the shares that have trading, seven moved higher, two declined and three remained unchanged. The number of transactions was limited to 84.
