The CSE continues its upward trend on Thursday

<p>Small gains were recorded on Thursday by the Cyprus Stock Exchange, continuing its upward trend. The General Index rose 0.13% to close at 179.54 points.</p>
<p>The FTSE/CySE 20 Index also rose 0.13% to close at 109.35 points. The daily turnover amounted to €1,190,096.</p>
<p>Of the individual stock indices, the Main Market and the Investment Companies closed with losses, at a rate of 0.03% and 0.36% respectively. On the contrary, the Alternative Market and Hotels closed with gains, recording an increase of 0.59% and 0.17% respectively.</p>
<p>The Bank of Cyprus securities attracted the most investment interest with €971,291.46 (increase 1 .08% – closing price €4.70). The shares of Hellenic Bank followed with €137,283.10 (down 0.65% – closing price €3.06), Atlantic Insurance with €30,573.33 (up 7.69% – closing price €2.10), of Demetra Holdings Plc at €20,514.38 (down 0.37% – closing price €1.34) and Logicom at €9,180 (no change – closing price €3.06).</p>
<p>Of the shares traded, eight advanced, nine declined and two remained unchanged. The number of transactions reached 241.</p>
