The Cyprus Stock Exchange returned to profits in the first trading session after Easter. The General Index closed on Wednesday at 108.48 points, up 0.80%.
The FTSE/CySE 20 Index closed at 65.61 points, up 0.83%. The value of the transactions was 279,634 euros.
As regards the individual indices, the Main Market recorded a significant increase of 1.38% and the Investment Companies recorded an increase of 4.67%. The Alternative Market fell by 0.06% and the Hotels by 0.36%.
The Bank of Cyprus share had the highest marketability with a transaction volume of 187,582 euros (closing price 2.53 euros – drop 0 .39%), followed by Logicom stock with a volume of €41,512 (closing price €2.22 – up 3.74%), Blue Island with €25,100 (closing price €0.82 – down 1.80%) , of Hellenic Bank with a transaction volume of 18,863 euros (closing price of 1.72 euros – rise of 0.82%) and of Atlantic Insurance with a volume of 3,350 euros (closing price of 1.68 euros – rise of 1.20%).
Of the shares traded, 5 moved up, 5 down and 1 remained unchanged. The number of transactions reached 119.
Furthermore, in a statement, the Ministry of Finance states that on April 28, 2023, the Treasury Bills of issue GD13A23/TB13A23 (27/01/2023-28.04.2028) will expire. and therefore, the last trading date of the aforementioned Notes will be April 24, 2023.
