The General Index on Monday closed at 97.19 points

The week started with gains for the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE), mainly due to the significant rise in banking securities, The General Index on Monday closed at 97.19 points, registering an increase of 1.14%.
An increase of 1.17% was also presented by the FTSE/CySE 20 Index, which reached 58.71 points. At the same time, the daily turnover reached €483,735.
Of the individual stock market indexes, the Main Market recorded the biggest increase with 1.36%, followed by the Alternative Market with an increase of 0, 11%. Investments closed with a fall of 0.76, while Hotels remained unchanged.
Bank of Cyprus securities attracted the most investment interest with €402,051 (up 2.04% – price closing €2). Salamis Tours (Holdings) shares followed with 24,093 (down 0.54 – closing price €1.84%), Hellenic Bank with €23,588 (up 3.29% – closing price €1.57), Logicom with €14,206, (down 1% – closing price €1.98) and Dimitra Investments with €10,869 (down 0.83% – closing price €0.48).
Of the shares traded, 4 moved up, 4 down and 2 remained unchanged. The number of transactions amounted to 145.
