Cyprus will face Russia tomorrow at 19:00 in the GSP for the 5th match of the 8th qualifying group ..
The punished Konstantinos Sotiriou is not counted, the participation of Pieros Sotiriou is doubtful. The rest of the players are at the disposal of Nikos Kostenoglou.
The KOP press release in detail:
“With training at the GSP stadium, the preparation of our National Team for the match against Russia, which will take place on Saturday at 19:00 at the GSP, was completed. It was essentially the only training session after the match against Malta with the participation of all the players, since yesterday all the players who played with Malta recovered.
The match is for the 5th match of the 8th qualifying group of the 2022 World Cup. Our National Team remains undefeated in its home matches (0-0 with Slovakia, 1-0 with Slovenia) and will try to have a point gain, which will gain even more important, after the away defeat by Malta last Wednesday.
Russia comes from a 0-0 home draw with Croatia.
