The Deputy Ministry of Tourism supports the OPAP Limassol Marathon – What it says in an announcement
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism supports the OPAP Marathon for another year Limassolwhich will be held on the two days of April 13 and 14, and is expected to attract thousands of runners from Cyprus and abroad again this year.
In a statement by the Deputy Ministry, it is noted that the OPAP Limassol Marathon is more than a sports event, an event with a positive impact on sports, tourism, society and local entrepreneurship, and that the Deputy Ministry of Tourism recognizes the important contribution of the OPAP Limassol Marathon in the development and promotion of sports tourism in our country, especially in a month like April, when tourist flows are not high.
“The arrival of athletes and attendants from 70+ different countries, in order to enjoy the flat and unique routes of the event next to the sea, will significantly stimulate Limassol during the period of their stay” is emphasized with the Deputy Minister explaining that it is for that which stands firmly and practically next to the sports events that promote and enrich the tourism product of Cyprus and contribute decisively to the extension of the tourist season.
It is noted that the OPAP Limassol Marathon is expected to host thousands of runners from Cyprus and abroad on the two days of April 13 and 14, 2024.
On Saturday, April 13, the Primetel Corporate Road 5 km will be held, which gives the opportunity to organized groups (groups and companies) to test the limits them, to have fun, to become one. On the same day, hundreds of children will live the experience of participating and enjoy a wonderful route by the sea through Andrey & Julia Dashin's Foundation Youth Race 1 km.
The race program for Sunday, April 14 includes routes that annually attract high-level athletes from all over the world. Specifically, on Sunday, the Marathon Road 42 km, the Muskita Half-Marathon Road 21 km, the Petrolina Energy Road 10 km and the RemAthlon Atomic Road 5 km will be held.
