Omonia's performance in the first match against Antwerp, from one point onwards, was very good. Certainly there were weaknesses in some stages, which had to do with the midfield function, but they were covered by the effectiveness in the attack.
Henning Berg will not have many returns in relation to last Thursday's match. Giannis Kousoulos, Eric Boek and Marko Cepovic will be out again.
Tomas Hubochan may be available, but the presence of Nikolas Panagiotou puts the coach in thoughts, since the 20-year-old defender was very good in the 270 minutes he played. Will he choose enthusiasm or experience? Just is ready now, but, for the time being, he is not considered a key player. There is another scenario, to see Hubochan and Panagiotou together, however they did not play many times together and it involves risk.
The choices in defense will be the only changes in the lineup, since, as mentioned above, from the middle and in front there were quite good automations that brought all four goals. That is, Papoulis and Loizou will support Kakoullis on the strike line, with Bassirou, Gometh and Diskerud taking on the role of interception. At the end of the defense, Sehou and Letsiaks do not change, as does Fabiano at the end.
It will take effort
The 4-2 of the first match is a good result, but it will take effort to preserve it. Antwerp has shown that it is a quality team and so the initial stages of the match should be paid special attention. The Belgian team will have the world by its side, a factor that Berg's players must count on and not panic.
According to the Belgian media, it is a given that there will be changes in the starting lineup, especially in defense. There may be four to five changes. It is questionable the use of Nainggolan, who committed an offense on Sunday (he was driving under the influence of alcohol) and it is unknown if he will be on the mission. The criticality of the confrontation, however, may be… a temporary pardon.
