According to the Press Office of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, at around 17:15 on Monday, information was received that a family consisting of a 45-year-old, a 42-year-old and their 8-year-old child, tourists from < strong>Germany lost their orientation and were trapped in an inaccessible spot in the Avakas gorge.

Members of the Peyia Police Station and members of the Paphos Fire Service went to the area and around 19:00 their rescue operation started.
