According to the GTP, Cyprus recalls today that the “agreement” for the project was signed in July 2023 and the feasibility study is being carried out by the Turkish private company AKSA Enerji.

It is claimed that the implementation of the project will change the political balances, but a comprehensive study is being conducted because it is a project with a large cost, even if not the expenditure is as large as that of the Great Sea Interconnector, in which the Republic of Cyprus intends to participate.
