The three ships that carried humanitarian aid to the civilians of the Gaza Strip, as part of the “Amalthia” project, are returning to Cyprus. following the death by Israeli shelling on Monday, April 1, of seven members of the non-governmental organization, World Central Kitchen, which was actively involved in this effort.

According to relevant government sources, the vessels Jennifer, Open Arms, Ledra Dynamic and the floating platform MMS ARIS started the return journey to the port of Larnaca, with 240 of the 332 tons of food, after they were unable to unload.

Until now, the Open Arms has sailed to the port of Larnaca and the arrival of the other two ships, the Jennifer and the Ledra Dynamic, which is towing the MMS ARIS floating platform, is expected. The two ships are within the territorial waters of the Republic of Cyprus.

The three ships had set sail from the port of Larnaca on March 30, bound for the war-torn Gaza.
