The Grand Resort hotel in Limassol is in the hands of Fattal Hotel Group. According to an announcement by the Commission for the Protection of Competition, a merger notification has been received regarding the acquisition of the share capital of Hawaii Hotels Limited, the owner and management company of the five-star hotel, by Fattal Limassol Limited.
As stated in the EPA announcement, Fattal Limassol Limited is a company registered under the law of the Republic of Cyprus. It constitutes a special purpose vehicle with no prior business activities established to act as an acquisition vehicle for the purposes of the Proposed Transaction. The company, which is part of the Fattal Hotel Group, is ultimately controlled by a natural person.
