    Contract for the supply, maintenance and training in the maintenance and use of 17 fire engines capable of carrying 6,000 liters of water to the Forestry Department, the Forestry Department and KYKON Ltd. signed.

    According to with today's announcement by the Forestry Department, the contract was signed on Monday by the Director of the Forestry Department, Savva Ezekiel, and Panagiotis Constantinou, Director of KYKON Ltd.

    The contract has a duration of 26 months, with the departmental delivery of the vehicles:

    The first 12 fire engines whose purchase costs are fully covered by Intervention C2.1I9: “Protection of Forests from Fires”, implemented in the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, during 20 months and 5 vehicles whose purchase costs are covered by National Resources, during 26 months.

    The supply of these vehicles, which will be gradual until 2026, is expected to contribute catalytically to the operational capacity of the Forestry Department to deal with and suppress forest fires.
