On the 28th of the month, a draft-decision of the Parliament for the publication of the Giorkatzi list is submitted to the Plenary Session of the Parliament, which includes the names of politically exposed persons (PEP), who have, among other things, non-performing loans.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Adamos Adamou, speaking before the Ad Hoc Committee, expressed his intention for immediate publication of the list, pointing out that a decision of the Plenary is needed so that he is not the only one responsible in case lawsuits are filed by those affected.
The deputies of AKEL, Solidarity, Ecologists, the Alliance and ELAM, who participated in today's session of the Ad Hoc committee, were in favor of the publication. However, today the deputies of DISY and DIKO were absent, who in previous sessions had stated that they are in favor of publishing the list.
In case the Plenary Session decides to make the list public, then it will be posted immediately on the website of the Parliament. It is noted that the Speaker of Parliament, stated that after the publication of the list, he expects to make public the names of the MP and the state official, who sent him the letter, warning that they will proceed with lawsuits if the list is made public.
