Financial assistance to farmers, who suffered a significant blow due to weather conditions, in the year 2021-2022, will be provided by the Government, following a decision of the Council of Ministers.
As stated in a relevant announcement, the Council of Ministers meeting today under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis took, among other things, the following decision:
The payment of financial assistance, amounting to €6,747,000, to farmers whose agricultural crops were affected by damage caused by adverse weather conditions and/or natural disasters during the 2021-2022 growing season, based on the individual assessment statements to be drawn up by the Department of Agriculture.
Compensations will be paid as de minimis aid. Beneficiaries can be paid a grant of up to €20,000 at an individual level, in any period of three years.
