The Holy Light is expected to arrive shortly after 6 pm on Holy Saturday at the old Larnaca Airport from Jerusalem, on a Cyprus Airways plane.
The Holy Light will be transferred to the Exarchate of the Holy Sepulcher in Nicosia and from there it will be distributed throughout Cyprus. The responsibility for its transfer and transmission rests with the Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher in Cyprus, His Eminence Metropolitan of Bostro Mr. Timotheus. The Holy Light will be accompanied by a delegation of the Exarchate of the Holy Sepulcher headed by His Eminence Metropolitan Timotheus.
The SupportCY Volunteer Corps of the Bank of Cyprus supports, once again, the transfer of the Holy Light together with the United Bikers of Cyprus (United Bikers) to remote areas but also to specific points in the provinces of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Famagusta. In addition, the effort is supported by the ETEA and the Avgorou Bikers Club.
Also, the Exarchate of the Holy Sepulcher and the organized Motorcycle Club Star Club Cyprus Chapter 1999 in collaboration with the Vespa Lambretta Club of Cyprus and Lemesos Harley Riders and organizations, will transport the Holy Light for another year to several places in Nicosia and Limassol.
Cyprus Airways undertook this year the process of transporting the Holy Light to Cyprus, as part of a scheduled flight, in consultation with all the competent government agencies in Cyprus and Israel.
The routes and delivery points of the Holy Light will be announced on the Facebook pages of the organizations involved, while the public can be informed about the exact times of arrival in the communities from the parish churches.
