The inauguration of the Cathedral of the Apostle Barnabas in the walled city of Nicosia, on the day of his feast, will take place tomorrow with all magnificence. As was the planning of the Archdiocese, the project was completed within the schedules and tomorrow there will be a Hierarchical service officiated by Archbishop Chrysostom II. The project cost about 8 million euros and the imposing church is of Byzantine style, cruciform with a dome. It is also single-aisled and has four bell towers.
In addition, the church will have two underground parking spaces, with a total capacity of 140 cars, while there is a large square, event halls, museum accommodation and three chapels, which compose the imposing setting of the Cathedral of the Apostle Barnabas.
