New dimensions in the Cyprus Investment Program and the uncontrolled distribution of European passports by the authorities of our island in the recent past, gives RAI3 journalistic research
The channel of the state news network of Italy, last Monday (24/01) aired a relevant revealing TV report. In this Cyprus is presented as the vehicle of the Beijing government to establish SMEs in Europe and to serve its plans.
This seems to have been achieved thanks to the ease with which Cyprus issued passports, in the absence of control mechanisms.
Liang who became Riga
Suffice it to say that the man who was the key to unfold his journalistic investigation of the Italian state channel RAI3, is the Cypriot Chinese Lai Liang. Alleged businessman, with a company that, as “P” found out, has as its headquarters a house in a simple neighborhood of Agios Dometios, the outskirts of Nicosia.
Mr. Liang, wanting to hide his Cypriot identity, made sure to change his name after acquiring his citizenship. So, from the moment that Cyprus is here and everything is done, Alexandros Rigas managed to be “baptized”. And of course, to deceive about his true identity.
In the photo, RAI3 journalist Giulio Valesini in an interview with Chinese-born Giulio Sun, legal representative of China FM Italy. When the latter accepts a question about the “Cypriot” Alexandros Rigas, he is surprised. After a few seconds he answers: “Oh, yes, the manager”. Lai Liang, thanks to the Cyprus Investment Program, was renamed Alexandros Rigas and can no longer be identified, as he uses three different names…
The radio “network”
Through this passport, 48-year-old Alexandros Rigas became a European citizen and took on an important role in a Chinese radio station in Italy, owned by a Cypriot company he appears to be running. The four RAI3 journalists who worked for the reporting purposes traveled to three continents and managed to find Rigas' connection to Cyprus, the Chinese government, two radio stations in Italy and Spain, and a Vancouver-based company.
The role of China
It is indicative that the Italian expert on such issues, Giangaetano Bellavia, speaking on Italian television, commented: back. “And most likely the Chinese government has decided to carry out this operation, but without appearing.”
Cyprus has a common point
Indeed, news network reporters were able to present information linking the subsidiary China FM radio station in Spain to the Chinese government. At the same time, they proved that the same subsidiary (China FM) operates in Italy under the direction of Alexandros Rigas (Lai Liang), who, using a third name, is behind a corporate entity in Canada. This whole story has a common denominator. Cyprus, which granted citizenship, a new name, a house and a company to Mr. Liang. At the same time, it was the right ground for this whole plan to take place.
