The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in constant contact with the Greek authorities, through the Embassy in Athens, and is closely monitoring the developments regarding the large fire, which is raging in areas of northeastern Attica, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Theodoris Gotsis, answering a question from KYPE.

He added that due to the emergency situation locally, Cypriot citizens who are for any reason near the northeastern regions of Attica are urged to carefully follow the announcements and instructions of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection and the other competent Authorities of the Hellenic Republic, to monitor the Mass Media and follow the instructions they receive through 112 for any mandatory evacuations.
