The security supervisor Nikos Gennadiou, who carried the injured APOEL fan on his shoulders at the risk of his life in the < strong>Tsirio Stadium, was honored by the President of the Cyprus Sports Organization (CSO), Andreas Michailidis.

In the announcement of the KOM, it is stated that in the presence of the KOM Vice-President, Kostakis Koukkoulis, and the members of the KOM Board of Directors, Kallis Hatziiosif, Andronikos Andronikos, Sotiris Adamos, Christos Neofytou, Michalis Ioannou and Andreas Mylonas , the President of the Organization presented an honorary plaque to Nikos Gennadiou, rewarding his brave act.

As Mr. Michaelidis pointed out, Mr. Gennadiou's act “constitutes a message to his colleagues to follow the his example”, but also “a message to the whole world that life is precious and we cannot put it at risk in the stadiums which are a place of entertainment”.
