A young Palestinian, who shot and wounded a compatriot and two Israelis in the occupied West Bank, was killed today in an Israeli military operation.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the deceased he was 18 years old. Reports from Arab networks report that 18-year-old Tarek Daoud was a member of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas. In a photo he posted on a social media platform, he is seen wearing a camouflage uniform and carrying an assault rifle.
Violence in the occupied West Bank has escalated since the start of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip, triggered by the previous attack launched on October 7 by Hamas against Israel.
