Set the foundation stone in the newly erected church of the Resurrection of the Saviour, inside the new cemetery of Agia Napa, His Eminence Metropolitan of Constantia< /strong> and Ammochosto Mr. Vasileios.
This new church is a wish of the family of the learned Mr. Christos Kitazos, a warm supporter in the work of our Holy Metropolis, in memory of the blessed Archimandrite Haritos Mahairiotis, (near whose grave it was erected) and his parents, expenses and other pious residents of Ayia Napa.
In his speech, Metropolitan Basilios referred to the spiritual meaning of the foundation of a holy space and the placement of the Holy Cross, which gives the meaning of the Church of Christ, who rose on the Cross to offer salvation to all mankind.
