As of February 13, a total of 44,429 people had been vaccinated against COVID-19 at the Vaccination Centers operating in all the Provinces of Cyprus. Of these, 29,592 people received the first dose of the vaccine, while 14,837 people completed their vaccination, having received both doses. It is recalled that, at this time, access to the Vaccination Portal is available to people aged 76 and over.
At the same time, the process of vaccinating other health professionals in both the public and private sectors is underway. From tomorrow, the vaccination of Pharmacists begins, while the vaccination of other health professionals will continue throughout February. In addition, the vaccination of specific groups of patients continues next week, such as people with thalassemia, dialysis patients, etc., following the recommendation of the ad hoc committee for the ranking of vulnerable groups. Vaccination of vulnerable groups, according to the expected receipts of vaccines, is estimated to be intensified from the beginning of March.
At the same time, from tomorrow, February 15, in addition to the other Vaccination Centers operating nationwide, vaccinations will begin at the Vaccination Center created at the “Spyros Kyprianou” Sports Center in Limassol, where, in the first phase, three vaccination teams will operate.
