The Minister of Interior, Nikos Nouris, is going to Athens on Monday for a two-day working visit, at the invitation of the Greek Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Notis Mitarakis.
According to a relevant announcement, during the visit, extended contacts will be made with the participation of official delegations that will aim at coordinating the actions of Cyprus and Greece in jointly addressing migration challenges. Furthermore, the aim of the work is to exchange views on asylum and immigration procedures.
During his stay in Greece, the minister will visit the closed structure for the reception of immigrants in Samos.
The Minister of Interior in Athens will be accompanied by the Director of his Office, Officers of the Ministry of Interior, the Asylum Service, the Legal Service of the Republic, as well as the Aliens and Immigration Service of the Police, the announcement concludes.
