The Municipality of Athienou is on the side of the earthquake victims

The Municipality of Athienou and the Medochemie company are offering help to the earthquake victims, stating in separate announcements that they concern food, clothing, basic necessities, and medicines.

The Municipality of Athienou announced that the campaign to collect humanitarian aid items for the earthquake victims it organized was completed today “with excellent results”.

It is noted that large quantities of dry food, bedding, blankets, winter clothes and shoes, personal items were collected hygiene, detergents and cleaning products and diapers for children and adults. In consultation with the Office of the Citizen Commissioner, they were transported by military vehicles to the Port of Limassol, to be sent by the Government to the earthquake victims, it states.

The Municipality of Athienou “warmly thanks all those who offered generously, with great willingness and pleasure, for the relief of the earthquake victims”.

Medochemie is also collecting aid

Medochemie announced that, wanting to help support the provision of aid to those affected by the devastating earthquake in Syria, it offered medicines worth €600,000.

The company says it was mobilized by the immediate need for medicines, and that it has reinforced local medical units, with injectable hospital antibiotics and syrups weighing a total of 10 tons, “in the hope that the pharmaceutical aid will reach its destination in time and contribute to the relief of of our fellow human beings”.

He notes that, “as the largest pharmaceutical company in Cyprus” it could not remain uninvolved in the call for help from our neighboring countries and that over time, “it supports and will continue to support fellow human beings in practice us, responding to the requests for support of non-profit organizations”.

The Cypriot-Kurdish Solidarity Association announces ways to help the earthquake victims

Ways in which the world can offer help to the victims of the recent earthquake in the territories of Turkey and Syria is also announced by the Cyprus- Kurdish Solidarity Association (KKSA).

In its announcement, it states that the epicenter of the earthquake was a relatively short distance north of the border between the territories of Turkey and Syria and adds that these areas are Kurdish, hence most of the victims are Kurds.

The Association states that financial aid can be deposited into the account of the Red Crescent of Kurdistan (Heyva Sor a Kurdistan eV) IBAN: DE49 3705 0299 0004 0104 81, BIC/SWIFT: COKSDE33XXX, or via paypal (paypal.me/heyvasorakurdistane)

As it states, any material aid to be delivered to the points determined by the Orthodox Church of Cyprus,&nbsp ?the Rotarian the Cyprus Group, the Red Cross of Cyprus.
