The 52-year-old Androula Avraxidou and the 20-year-old Stelios Giagkou are the victims of the 59-year-old.
According to information – late in the afternoon the perpetrator was examined by a psychiatrist and as it was found, despite having mental health problems, he is able to attend court proceedings and the procedure is expected to be carried out immediately to secure a detention order.
Tomorrow, the alleged perpetrator will be brought before the Nicosia District Court.
The 59-year-old alleged perpetrator allegedly committed murder in August 1976 in the Paris area of Nicosia.
The perpetrator, 14 years old at the time, had killed a 10-year-old girl.
The announcement of the police
Murder was committed early this morning in the province of Nicosia with the victims being 52-year-old Androula Avraxidou and 20-year-old Stelios Giagkou.
Specifically, around 6.30 this morning, information was received about two injured people in a house in the province of Nicosia.
Members of the Police went to the scene where the above persons were found dead, while a 25-year-old man was found injured, who was transported by ambulance to the Nicosia General Hospital for treatment and hospitalization.
As part of the investigation of the case, an arrest warrant was issued against a 59-year-old man, who was arrested a little later in another area of Nicosia province.
