The occupied areas buy electricity from free areas due to increased demand

Αγοραζουν ρεy&mu ;απεθρεοχσκε χμε λγξημς ζησς /></p> <p> The occupied territories continue to purchase electricity from the free territories, as local production is unable to meet the increased needs.</p> <p> According to the Press and Information Office, the "Dialogue" ; writes that the production of the "electricity principle" ("KIB-TEK») and the Turkish company AKSA, which operate in the occupied territories, are not sufficient to cover the demand.</p> <p> "KIB-TEK» buys 10 to 30 megawatts from EAC daily, mostly in the evening hours, paying 15 Turkish Lira (TL) per kWh. This price is considered high, as the production costs for the "KIB-TEK" amounts to 9 TL per kilowatt hour and for AKSA to 10 TL. Therefore, the purchase from the free areas is 50% more expensive.</p> <p> The newspaper reports that this development makes it inevitable to increase the price of electricity in the occupied areas. Although the "KIB-TEK" covers  damages amounting to 100 million TL at current prices, this amount is not considered sufficient.
