In a packed house in Cyprus, the opening of the exhibition “The charm of the family” took place. which is a tribute to the important Cypriot painter Victor Ioannidis.
The opening was performed by the First Ladyof the Republic of Cyprus Andri Anastasiadis, in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Sports Lina Mendonis, and the Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Zeta Makris.
Speaking at the opening, Mrs. Anastasiadis made a warm reference to the painter's journey saying that “the Ioannidis succeeded through his own colors, lines, designs, faces, nature and everything else, inspired and created, to spend the moment in eternity and preserve and transfer to us landscapes, people, history , our culture, values and traditions. His work, reflecting what he experienced, what he felt, what defined and defined him, is the mirror of his soul.”
In his own speech at the opening of the exhibition, his son was extremely moved. painter Stelios Ioannidis, who made personal references to his relationship with his father and how he himself, being still a five-year-old child, discovered the painter Viktoros Ioannidis and his great talent in creating portraits.
