Voiced displeasure at midnight end to reduced rates of excise duty
Residents of Paphos have expressed their displeasure at the end at midnight of the imposition of reduced rates of excise duty on motor and heating fuels and the fact that from today there will be increases of 8.32 cents in motor fuels, i.e. gasoline and diesel, and 6.83 cents in heating fuel.
Christos Hatzieftyhiou told reporters that the increase is a chain reaction and implies an increase in the prices of electricity, gasoline, fuel and of food. Unfortunately, he noticed, people's pockets are not raising increases and there should be a barrier at least to fuel increases because, as he said, otherwise the world will suffer.
Andreas Christodoulou, a resident of Pafos, noted that the increases in fuel prices will bring about increases in various products.
Residents of the district of Paphos referred to the accuracy of life and the impact on their households with all the negative consequences. For the average household, housewives said, the situation will be difficult.
